Renewing your CPO certification

Your Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate is valid for 5 years. Once your certification has expired the only option you have is to take the full CPO course again.

The NSPF is now the PHTA

The National Swimming Pool Foundation has merged with the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals to form a new joint organization the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA). The PHTA will now be issuing the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certifications. Not to worry though your current CPO certifications will remain valid but new certifications will soon be issued digitally so you can easily share links to your CPO certification.

Renew your CPO before it expires

There is no grace period – You must renew your CPO certification before it expires. If your CPO certification has not yet expired your have three options to renew your CPO certification: 2-Day, 1-Day, and Anytime.
